Mulled Wine
Red wine warmed with brandy, orange, honey and spices. Smells like Christmas.

Ingredients
- 150 ml5 ozRed wine
- 25 ml¾ ozCognac
- 30 ml1 ozFresh orange juice
- 15 ml½ ozHoney syrup (3:1)
- 1 cinnamon stick, 3 cloves, 1 star anise1 cinnamon stick, 3 cloves, 1 star aniseMulling spices (cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise)
Makes one drink, about 220 ml before ice.
Method
- Warm the heatproof glass with hot water, then tip it out.
- Warm everything gently in a small pan until steaming. Don't let it boil.
- Pour into the warm heatproof glass.
- Garnish: orange slice and cinnamon stick.
