Whiskey cocktails
New York Sour
A whiskey sour with a layer of red wine floated over the top.

Ingredients
- 60 ml2 ozRye whiskey
- 25 ml¾ ozFresh lemon juice
- 20 ml⅔ ozSimple syrup (1:1)
- 20 ml⅔ ozRed wine (float)
Makes one drink, about 125 ml before ice.
Method
- Add everything except the red wine to a shaker. Fill with ice and shake hard for 10 to 12 seconds.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh cubes.
- Float the red wine over the back of a spoon.
