Rye and dry vermouth with lemon and grenadine. A Prohibition-era drink, tart and pink.

Ingredients
- 45 ml1½ ozRye whiskey
- 30 ml1 ozDry vermouth
- 22 ml¾ ozFresh lemon juice
- 15 ml½ ozGrenadine
- 1 dash1 dashOrange bitters
Makes one drink, about 110 ml before ice.
Method
- Put the coupe in the freezer to chill.
- Add everything to a shaker. Fill with ice and shake hard for 10 to 12 seconds.
- Strain into the coupe.
- Garnish: lemon twist.
