A Martini with a spoon of maraschino and an absinthe rinse. Dry, aromatic and old-school.

Ingredients
- 45 ml1½ ozLondon dry gin
- 30 ml1 ozDry vermouth
- 4 ml¼ ozMaraschino liqueur
- RinseRinseAbsinthe
- 2 dashes2 dashesOrange bitters
Makes one drink, about 80 ml before ice.
Method
- Put the martini glass in the freezer to chill.
- Rinse the glass with a little absinthe and pour out the excess.
- Add everything except the absinthe to a mixing glass. Fill with ice and stir for about 30 seconds, until very cold.
- Strain into the martini glass.
- Garnish: cherry and lemon twist.
